Woodway is a terrific place to live and raise a family. As the Director of Arboretum, Tourism, and Recreational Services, I have the honor of managing the Woodway Family Center and the Carleen Bright Arboretum.
At the Carleen Bright Arboretum you can explore a winding path lined with plants and abundant wildlife native to our area. You can envision your next special event amid a romantic background of roses or you can escape to the tranquility of the meditation garden or the nature trail.
We are blessed to have community partnerships with wonderful people such as the McLennan County Master Gardeners, Cactus & Succulent Society, Central Texas Herb Society and Waco Rose Society who help maintain the beautiful gardens. We have a small but mighty staff dedicated to making the Arboretum beautiful in all seasons.
Our newest addition, The Pavilion, opened in October 2012. This barn inspired building is nestled within a beautiful area of native woodland and meadow that brings us in touch with nature. I would like to invite you to come and visit the Carleen Bright Arboretum.
The Arboretum Director’s office is located in The Pavilion at 1 Pavilion Way, Woodway, Texas.
